Fructooligosaccharides (d-beta), also known as oligofructose, are naturally occurring carbohydrates derived from cane or beet sugar. They are known as prebiotics, and are a non-digestible plant matter on which probiotics feed. They promote good surface bacteria, which protects the skin from harmful invasions. They also increase the skin’s ability to retain moisture.
