👉👉👉Skin damage from UV radiation accounts 👉👉👉Skin damage from UV radiation accounts for 80-90% of all facial skin aging. That’s huge! (and why sunscreen is so important) UVA radiation is responsible for most of the skin damage associated with photoaging because it can penetrate the dermis. UVB only penetrates the epidermis due to its shorter wavelength. 🙌 A broad-spectrum sunscreen (both UVA & UVB protection) with SPF30 or higher is a must. While the calculation of SPF (sun protection factor) is the same globally, UVA ratings are measured using different systems. 1️⃣ "Broad Spectrum” is a term used by manufacturers in the USA and Canada: 90% of absorption is in the range up to 370nm; the remaining 10% covers up to 400nm. 2️⃣ UVA Seal is used in Europe, meaning that the UVA protection is at least 1/3 of the SPF. You may also come across the term PPD (Persistent Pigment Darkening), mainly used by some French brands. Equivalent to SPF, it tells you the exact number of UVA protection. 3️⃣ PA System (+ to ++++): used in Japan and Korea, means Protection of UVA, and is based on the PPD. PA+ is PPD 2 – 4 PA++ is PPD 4 – 8 PA+++ is PPD 8 – 16 PA++++ = PPD > 16. ⭐️If you’re in the UK, you may come across The Boots Star System (Boots is a UK drugstore chain.) The Star System shows the UVA value relative to their SPF value: if the UVA protection is 90% or more of the SPF – 5*. 80-90% get 4*, 60-80% get 3*. However, there does seem to be some variability in this rating system, so I’ve left it out of the slides. 🌞When it comes to choosing a sunscreen, it's pretty much down to your preference.🌞 Whether you opt for a chemical sunscreen that absorbs UV radiation or physical sunscreens that absorbs AND reflects UV radiation, is not relevant. Though, physical sunscreens 𝘮𝘢𝘺 be slightly better for very sensitive skin or skin that is prone to contact allergies but can still cause reactions. Awesome deodorant!

I have been looking for a zinc-free deodorant for years. Tried name brand ones that wore off after 2 hours. This one (barely there) works and lasts. Finally, a real alternative! So happy! Will be buying more in the future.

works but burns

It does work better than most natural deodorants-still prefer one with potassium alum in it (which I am trying to get away from), but I can't use if I have shaved my underarms--it burns like crazy, and since I usually shave every other day, I can only use on the opposite day, and I do have to reapply it, which being a spray is useful. I like the light citrus scent also, I do not like any fake fragrance or heavy essential oils.

We're happy to hear that our deodorant works for you! Sorry to hear about the burning, though. We have a couple of suggestions to help alleviate this:
1. Try waiting about 30 minutes after stepping out of the shower. It's not only the shaving that can make your skin sensitive, but washing with soap as well. Waiting helps for many people.
2. If waiting doesn't work, try applying a soothing moisturizer first. It sounds counter-intuitive, but it can help. One with aloe vera gel is a good one to try.
